Soroptimist International of Harrisburg is part of Soroptimist International, a worldwide organization of business and professional women.  Soroptimists are dedicated to working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women.  As a global organization, Soroptimists reaches out to less fortunate women and girls allowing them and empowering them to reach their goals and dreams.  Worldwide Soroptimists help women through service and financial support at the local, region, national and international levels.

The SI of Harrisburg, PA club was founded in 1938 and has recently celebrated 80 years of service.  Our accomplishments are many and include providing scholarships and awards to local women.  Our club makes contributions that allow women to receive mammograms, to find safe and comfortable shelter, and to improve literacy skills. Club members volunteer their time and talents for community outreach organizations.

Soroptimist are women who care and help other women acquire the skills to reach their individual potential.
