
News Release: Soroptimist International of Harrisburg Soroptimists to Offer a Cash Grant to a Dauphin County High School Senior Girl Seeking Financial Assistance for Educational Expenses in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

Margaret I. Weaver was a Math Teacher and became an Engineer and was a beloved member of the Soroptimist International of Harrisburg club. Through her generosity, we are able to offer a $2,000 scholarship to a Dauphin County high school senior woman who is planning to attend college and taking a major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Founded in 1938, the Soroptimist International of Harrisburg club is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas, a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimist, a 501(c)(3) organization that relies on charitable donations to support its programs, also powers.
